Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Work with images and algorithms for exposure, focus, noise reduction, and calibration of white balance and colors.
• Actively participate in the selection of optics and image sensors, in close collaboration with the mechanics and electronics teams as well as external suppliers.
• Test images and optics both in laboratory environments and in realistic indoor and outdoor conditions during the development phase.
• Work on prototype development together with hardware and mechanics engineers to test and optimize image quality.
• Support project development to ensure functionality and performance.
• Improve production protocols and calibration of the imaging system to ensure high quality and accuracy in production.

Qualifications

We would like you to have:

• A Master's degree in physics, nanotechnology, mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent
• Knowledge of optics, image sensors, IR filters, and IR diodes
• Experience in C and/or C++ programming
• Experience in Python programming
• Experience in software development in a Linux environment
• Good understanding of image processing algorithms
• Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics
